A comedy drama by French-Canadian playwright Gratien Gelinas. Bousille is a nickname meaning clodhopper or a bungler, but Gelinas' bungler is not so much a fool as a simple-minded, aging orphan with a deep sense of honesty and a passionate belief in good in others. The Just are the complete opposite which conflicts sharply with Bousille's innocence. The story, wildly comic, takes place in a third-rate Montreal hotel room.
